AUGUSTA, GA, UNITED STATES, February 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Jervis Hough, MS, CSCP®, and Chief Operating Officer/Chief Compliance Officer at Blaylock Van LLC, has been named to a seat on the Advisory Board of the Georgia Financial Educators Council (GFEC), the organization announced today.

The GFEC selects its board members based on stringent criteria, including educational background, professional accomplishments, and a history of community service. Jervis Hough brings more than two decades of leadership in financial services along with formal education, hands-on experience, and community advocacy to the role. He holds an MS degree in Applied Economics and a BS in Economics from Clemson University; and is a Certified Securities Compliance Professional (CSCP®). He also maintains FINRA Series 7, 24, 53, 63, 79, and 99 registrations.

Hough’s professional career has included performing risk-based examinations for FINRA and Merrill Lynch and leading compliance programs at IFS Securities, Inc. He founded Taurus Compliance Consulting in 2008, where he advised multiple FINRA member firms on regulatory strategy and anti-money laundering programs. Jervis also has served on several executive boards and committees, including IDAC, RXMD, NextPlat, and the NAAIA Foundation.
